Rehberg Earns NRA Primary Endorsement, A+ Rating

Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, has earned an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA), along with the NRA's endorsement in Montana's June 5th Senate primary election.

In a letter, NRA Director of Federal Affairs James J. Baker thanks Rehberg for his "solid and consistent pro-gun voting record" and "unwavering support of the Second Amendment." 

Sen. Tester once again on defense over his special-interest hypocrisy…

In case you missed it, Senator Jon Tester is once again playing defense on the issue of his special-interest hypocrisy.  A new TV ad released by Tester today claims that Tester is a "different kind of Senator," who has "cracked down on lobbyists."  But as we all know, Tester's record shows otherwise. In reality, despite running on a promise to provide Montanans with representation "not encumbered by high-dollared lobbyists," Tester has hypocritically taken more lobbyist campaign cash than any other member of Congress during the 2012 election cycle, according to the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics.  As one report noted of Tester's 2006 promise not to "sell Montana down the road by cutting deals with K Street lobbyists":  "That was then. Now, Tester is the number one recipient of lobbyist contributions so far in this cycle." ...

Senator Tester likes to pretend he's independent, but reports show that in Washington Tester has supported President Obama's big-spending liberal agenda 95 percent of the time — casting the deciding vote to pass Obama's $1.2 trillion health care law, allowing taxpayer-funded bailout bonuses for fat cat executives at insurance giant AIG, putting Obama's anti-gun activist judges on the U.S. Supreme Court, and much more. Tester campaigned as a tax-cutter, but in Washington he's voted in favor of higher taxes 55 times, and voted for the job-killing "cap-and-trade" energy tax...
